Step by step he made a name for himself with various succesfull releases on his major label Highgrade Records as well as on the appreciated label of the hamburg \\\'Diynamic\\\' guys amongst others. Not only his output got him glory and honour but also his outstanding groovy sets, which he has performed at his best at substantial clubs like Panorama Bar, Fabric, Pandemonium @ DC10, Studio Martin and Watergate. And the story of success proceeds: he will conquer the wide open world - next stops gonna be China and USA.

DJ Daniel Dreier doesn\\\'t mind missing the World Cup for a few days. In the country for a series of gigs in different cities, he feels that India has much more to offer than the World Cup, for now at least. Daniel is a regular feature at Panorama Bar and Watergate, both of which are among the top 10 clubs in Germany and among the best in the world.

The “Hardware“ for a Live event like this is clear. What will be exciting in this show is the “Software“: Todd Bodine, Tom Clark, Markus Homm, Daniel Dreier and Dale aim to bundle their musical creativity and bring their audience closer to the Highgrade philosophy through the tracks they perform. In the foreground of Highgrade LIVE is the performance, pulsating rhythms will be the benchmark of quality.
This results will be presented on the 26th of June at Watergate. Very few locations could provide a better venue for the “Highgrade Disharmonic Orchestra“. The club, with its unique view over the river Spree, has been one of the places most important to the Highgrade family of artists over the last few years.
You could expect nothing less from this Berlin label, which has already enriched the club scene and the spectrum of electronic music in the city for 10 years through it’s releases and events. Both individuality and creativity take center stage in the work of the musical front line. Highgrade has never worried about contraints of genre or convention. The “Highgrade Disharmonic Ochestra“ is a gift to the faithful entourage on the dance floor, and is also the perfect proof that the label is always up for a surprise.
Not only is the performance of the “Highgrade Disharmonic Orchestra“ a premiere: the three hour live show will also be the live debut for Tom Clark, Daniel Dreier and Markus Homm. By their side are Todd Bodine and Dale, two “old hands“ who have proven themselves time and again in their own Live experience.

Good music can sometimes be as effective as acupuncture. You just have to find the right point and with a tiny needle, it’s possible to trigger an amazing impact.
Tom Clark’s Pressure Points is just such an album, knowing exactly the right places to exert pressure and thereby leading listeners by invisible threads into a truly hypnotic and pleasurable experience.
Three years after his last album, the Highgrade co-chef and DJ now presents his third studio excursion. It has been some time in the making, for there has been a lot to do, but the time has proven well worth it. This is not a club album, as he says, Pressure Points shows something of Clark’s other side, and of his musical background.
It is a confident and complex, but perfectly coordinated album that reflects Tom Clark\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s artistic development and is orientated to the sound of his DJ sets: Groovy, deep and full of class.
Twelve tracks ranging from downbeat journeys into minimal house, pushing at all the right points of its listeners. The tracks move slowly but constantly forward and enter into your body like a subtle herbal medicine. We can hear that Tom Clark is not interested in an immediate and superficial reaction from his dancers. Here he finds a more relaxed and more permanent effect. You don’t have to listen actively, the feeling is automatic. There is no escape. You could call Clark’s Sound melancholic or anxious, and it’s entirely fascinating. Especially in the tracks with Wareika singer Florian Schirmacher, which emphasise the full effect. Pressure Points is a timeless and universal album that will reveal more and more on every listen. This is music that gives its audience exactly what they need.
New Member // Philip Bader
We\'d like to welcome Philip Bader onboard the good ship Highgrade. Being one of the founders of the famous \"Karneval der Verpeilten\" open air in Berlin he set a new trend with his Sunday afternoon parties in the old Casino Yard called \"Gelee Royal\" which were the beginning of the legendary \"Sunday After\" parties in Berlin. Alongside his success as a host, he started spinning records in 1998 and is now one of the resident DJs at Bar25. So it was just the next logical step for him to start producing his own music.
His production debut was a release with Perry Roden on Monika Kruse\'s Label Electric Avenue in 2005, followed by successful releases on Kindisch, Stil vor Talent, Bar25, Supdub and recently on Highgrade.
If you\'re looking for a deep minimal Berlin techno sound for your party, then Philip Bader is the man for the job.

There is always something to celebrate, especially in Berlin. So, when it\'s our 10 year anniversary, you REALLY have a reason to party, and this one is going to spill over outside Berlin\'s boarders. New Member // Mikael Stavostrand
Once again, we are very proud to present the newest pearl in our booking roster, Mikael Stavostand. He has been lauded as a key figure of the Swedish electronic music scene for his unique interpretations of minimal club techno as well as producing some of the most essential experimental electronic music of the past years.
He started to produce in the early nineties, but back then he was a part of the industrial scene he gained respect releasing some now labeled as "classic" records under different names. He has released over 40 12" Ep's and 19 Albums (CD, DLP, LP) so far and he has been featured on many compilation and mix records. He has been playing live sets around the world for the last few years. In Japan, North South America and all over Europe at respected clubs like the Panorama Bar, Fabric, Watergate, Arma 17 and many more.

Highgrade at GOA Madrid
Goa is a monthly meeting for electronic music lovers, taking place in Madrid. It runs during 12 hours of a non stop crazy Sunday and people join from anywere in Spain...also from Berlin!
On the 10th of October we left cold and rainy Berlin to our company outing, direction sunny and warm Madrid for a long and eventful weekend...which had nothing to do with a laid-back sightseeing short trip - It was hard work

Simon Beeston // dusty back room
All the way from New Zealand to the urban landscapes of Berlin, Simon Beeston is a man who likes diversity. This is not just evident in his choice of residence, but also in his musical output. Following an EP on Highgrade Digital and a track on our Various Artists Vol. VI record, Simon now presents “Dusty Back Room“, his first solo 12“ release on Highgrade. The EP opens with the title track “Dusty Back Room“, a track of strings and stabs, and a sound not exactly typical of previous Highgrade releases. But when the music comes with such compelling energy and provocative atmosphere, we’re prepared to make an exception. New Zealand meets Berlin as we cast an eye over green landscapes and ocean swells, while the bumpy groove intoxicicates us with its magic spell. That Simon Beeston is a man of great contrast is clearly evident on the B-side with “Neon Cringe“ and “Cymbolic“. The percussive heat of the club brings us back from the organic landscape of his homeland and into the neon lights of the night. “Neon Cringe“ resonates with a healthy dose of acid pump, while “Cymbolic“ provides a bass driven journey complete with cut up vocals and blistering cymbal rolls.
This is a release that richly deserves it’s round number: Highgrade Number 70. Especially with the addition of the bonus digital track “Tough Luck“, another highlight all of it’s own.

Highgrade VS. Freak n'Chic // MIKADO
As if the year 2009 hadn’t been eventful enough for Berlin label Highgrade and it’s French counterpart Freak n’Chic , both camps have found space in the program for another very special Tour de Force this November. Based on the similar philosophies of label founders Tom Clark and Dan Ghenacia, the two labels utiliize the skills of their existing artist rosters while continuing to discover new talents, and togehter, pay tribute to almost all the artists from both labels with this fresh musical collaboration. With the release of the „MIKADO“ compilation on Highgrade, Tom Clark, together with his label-partner Todd Bodine on the German side, send his most trusted regular artists Jens Bond, Heinrichs & Hirtenfeller, Homm & Popoviciu and Daniel Dreier into the game alongside newcomers Asem Shama, Demir & Seymen and Simon Beeston. On the French side, Dan Ghenacia sits alongside Anthony Collins, Shonky, David K, :Terry: and Seuil, making them a match fit and battle ready MIKADO brigade!
